To recap, I am in Nicaragua and I am doing a heavy metal cleanse. My plan was to not work during this time, so I am busy trying to get a few weeks worth of blogs, emails, and social media posts created and scheduled in advance.
To backpedal a little, before I left I decided that I needed a backup computer as I had dedicated my larger laptop to thermography and my Microsoft Surface is old… and I use it for video editing. So I purchased a refurbished Surface from Amazon. That might have been one of the most expensive money saving moves that I have ever made…
I used the new laptop maybe three or four times before I left, just to make sure that everything was working properly. It all seemed fine, though I don’t think that I had used it with the external hard drive where I keep all of my important files. I still do not know exactly where or how, but while I was getting images from my external harddrive into Canva, everything got very slow.. I unplugged and restarted the computer and tried again. Still, no files would open. After consulting two computer specialists, it was determined that my external hard drive was corrupted and I would need to try to have the data recovered. Ugh.
In the meantime this is taking days, so I have not eaten solid food in a few days. I was probably a little more stressed than I needed to be, but it didn’t end there. I continued to work, using images that I had already uploaded onto Canva. I could pull it off for a little while until I figured things out.
Also in the meantime, I had an appointment with my Nicaraguan Osteopath, Ed Paget who recommended I visit the Chiropractor who had started practicing in San Juan Del Sur. He said that Adam was doing really interesting work that he thought might be helpful for me. So, I made an appointment. I have had so many musculoskeletal issues since my fall seven years ago that I am willing to try anything. On top of that, my shoulder repair simply is not healing. Hence the heavy metal cleanse and the mission to do the healing .
I very quickly understood what had brought me back to San Juan Del Sur. I really did not intend to return this year, but there were individuals on a Facebook group asking about Thermography services. So I may as well go where there is work, right? It was that call which brought me to the most profound healing of my life. The technique is called ‘Neural Organization Technique.’ Using muscle testing, the practitioner tests the strength of various reflexes in the body to determine if they are aligned. The first reflex was C1, which was adjusted using a thumper. Not fun, but I have to say that when I stood up from that first treatment, I was smiling like a kid on Christmas. The sky was more blue, the air was better. Everything was better. Needless to say, I signed up for the complete series of treatments.
So, while my business was falling apart my body and spirit were being healed.

February is not over yet… it was the longest 28 days of my life.
After completing my marketing posts, I start uploading them from Canva to Instagram, and all Hell breaks loose.
I get pop ups on my phone that my account has been hacked. I am locked out of Instagram, Facebook Business Manager, and Canva.
I found out the hard way that setting of 2FA on Facebook does not include Facebook Business Manager. If anyone has tried to get support from Facebook Business Manager, you may know the absolute nightmare that began (and is still not resolved) I sent at least 10 support tickets and not one was answered. Finally I went on YouTube to see if I could find any answers there. Thank the Gods for YouTube. There I was directed to where I could send an email to start an actual support ticket. Within two days, I got an email from them saying that my account was recovered and I should be able to use it again. Within two minutes of receiving that email, I got another notification that my account was hacked and I was once again locked out. I got a text from my bank that my credit card was over limit, and quickly realized that the hackers had maxxed out my credit cards running Facebook ads on my account.
This is not something that you ever want to experience. Please for the love of all things easy, do a web search and find out how to set up 2FA on your Facebook business account.
I will quickly add here that once I returned to Canada I was able to report the fraud on my credit cards, and have them replaced, but to this day (May 29) my Facebook Business account is still unrecovered.
